Dental technology laboratory
Our laboratory has been in close co-operation with the practice since 2008 in the same building. By opening the laboratory I intended to focus on acquiring the latest and most modern devices and technology, which is essential for fast, accurate and precise work. We are constantly developing when new methods occur. The surgery and the laboratory in the same building is an optimal situation for the production of dentures and implants. Replacement teeth made in the laboratory can be directly tried and placed. For perfect matching replacement teeth can be immediately custom-made on the basis of the control test.
Our dental laboratory technologist can see the colour and shape of the tooth and designs and makes the final replacement tooth accordingly. Due to the co-operation of the surgery and laboratory our patients can leave satisfied and with a great smile.
How tooth replacement options are made
We provide a lasting dental solution with our fixed tooth replacement options. We make and place dental crowns, bridges and implants individually. These are permanent and non-removable solutions fixed on the patient’s own prepared teeth or on implants. You can easily get accustomed to wearing them and these are solutions that best resemble your original teeth.
They can be made from ceramic fused to metal, which is a standard and popular 30-year-old technology. Our premium solution is Zircon aesthetic dentures and implants. They are completely metal-free and they match the original colour of your teeth, so it is a much more aesthetic option. It is advisable in the case of being allergic to metal.
We also make standard metal based prostheses in our laboratory. Concerning their attachment, they can be clasp retained, with hidden anchorage or precision attachment such as ball attachment or gliding splint. In everyday dentistry most people use fixed tooth replacement options, which are lasting, an aesthetic solution and available to everyone.
Dental implants
A titanium screw is fit into the place of the missing tooth that will hold the replacement tooth instead of the missing ones. If you have enough and appropriate bone to serve as foundation, dental implants will last for long decades. We use the high quality Symplant and Full-tech systems.
When is this treatment advisable?
When more than one tooth are missing or if the back teeth are missing, the problem can only be solved with removable partial dentures. Dental implants will serve as the main stabilizer for the denture.
All teeth missing
By having dental implants you can regain your healthy smile and confidence even if all your teeth are missing.
Treatment procedure
Fitting a dental implant is a procedure carried out with the application of local anaesthetics and it is a minor operation with approximately the same level trauma of a tooth extraction. The implant usually needs about 3-6 months to be suitable for loading or immediately in the case of good stability. Afterwards the prepared implant is placed.
Average duration of one treatment: 60 minutes
Number of treatments: 4-6 visits
As a result of this treatment the problem of the quite embarrassing missing teeth is solved and you regain your smile by a lasting and natural tooth replacement option.
Dental crowns
When is this treatment advisable?
When a filling is no longer satisfactory to restore the decayed tooth. Big filling or inlay found in the tooth must be removed and the original tooth crown cannot be restored with another filling.
Treatment procedure
After the preparation of the teeth, impressions are taken and the laboratory technologist produces a dental crown that harmonizes the original teeth in colour and shape.
Average duration of one treatment 20-40 minutes
Number of treatments 2-3 visits
Concerning their material dental crowns can be made from gold, porcelain fused to metal, metal-free pure porcelain or Zirconium.
As the result of this treatment you regain your smile by a lasting and natural tooth replacement option.
Dental bridges
A dental bridge is fixed on the original teeth. It is a non-removable, permanent and cemented tooth replacement option.
When is this treatment advisable?
When one tooth is missing and the necessity of implants is not justified. When more than one tooth are missing, or in the case of younger patients.
Treatment procedure
Preparation of the neighbouring teeth, the extraction of the severely decayed tooth. Taking the impression of the tooth/teeth, checking whether the bridge fits perfectly, then it is cemented permanently.
